Guide

Here is what you can do on this site, and how. No sign-up or login is needed. For what the site itself is, see About.

Your favourites, doodles, belongings and rewards are kept for you, tied to a key saved in this browser. My page gathers them in one place.

Finding works

  • Browse in the header shows every work. You can sort by New, Popular or Random.
  • Folders in the header groups the works folder by folder.
  • Tags in the header lets you follow a tag across related works. The tags on an image’s detail page work the same way.
  • Doodle artists in the header lists everyone sharing doodles. Search by name or number, and sort by most posts or latest post.
  • Type a keyword into the search box in the header to find matching works.
  • Press “Favorites only” in the list to show just the works you have favorited.
  • On the list and folder pages, the slider at the right of the toolbar changes the display size. The size you choose is remembered the next time you open the page.

In Settings you can change how images open from the list (interaction mode), the color scheme (theme), and how the list loads (paging). Settings are kept in this browser, on this device.

Quick Look

You can view an image large straight from a card in the list, without opening its detail page. The default is Classic mode, where a click goes straight to the details, so choose Select mode in Settings to get the following.

  • Click a card to select it, then press the space bar to view the image large.
  • Double-click a card to open that work’s detail page.
  • While an image is shown large, the left and right keys move between images and the up and down keys move a row at a time. Escape or the space bar closes it.
  • The heart at the top right of the enlarged image adds or removes a favorite, and “Details” at the bottom right opens the detail page.

In the default Classic mode, a single click on a card opens the detail page. On touch devices such as phones, a tap always opens the detail page, whatever the setting.

Favorites

  • Add or remove a favorite with the heart button on an image’s detail page, or with the heart at the top right of an image shown in Quick Look.
  • No sign-in needed. Your belongings are kept on the server, but a key saved in this browser is how we tell they are yours, so they do not carry over to another device or browser on their own. Clearing your browser data (cookies) breaks that link.
  • To use the same belongings on another device, see Use on another device.
  • The heart link in the header, or “Favorites only” in the list, shows just the works you have favorited.

Unlock

Answer by placing pictures in the right order, and locked images open up to you. No login here either.

  • Unlock in the header takes you to the latest unlock.
  • Press an image to see it large. Look closely, then press “Set” to put it in a slot above. Press “Cancel” if it is not the one.
  • Pick four of the images shown, in the right order. You can pick the same image more than once, and “Start over” clears your picks.
  • Setting the fourth image submits your picks right away.
  • On success, the home page shows the range you opened under “Locks opened”.
  • Miss too many times and your picks stop being checked for a while.
  • Past unlocks are under “See past unlocks”. Anything already covered by what you have opened is left out.

Each image page shows its unlock condition. Images you have already opened are marked “Unlocked”.

Doodle

On any image without a lock, you can place stamps and text. “Doodle on it!” on the image page opens the editor.

  • Place pictures and words from the Stamps and Text tabs. Each one can be resized, flipped, coloured, outlined, warped and erased.
  • Under Layers you can swap the picture underneath or add another one on top, and reorder what sits in front.
  • The Sound tab attaches built-in sounds or your own. Attached sounds can be played from the image page.
  • Tick “Keep it private” before saving and the doodle stays visible only to you. There is a limit on how many you can keep.
  • Saved doodles can be reworked with “Edit again” on their page. Only your own doodles can be taken down.
  • From someone else’s doodle, “Try this doodle on another picture” lets you drop what they placed onto a different picture and play with it. If you like it, “Start doodling” turns it into one of your own.
  • The other way round: on an unlocked picture, “Try a doodle on this picture” lets you pick someone else’s doodle and dress that picture with it. The shelf you pick from shows doodles only.

My data

My data is where you bring in your own pictures, stamps, sounds and text. Nobody else sees them, and you can use them while doodling.

  • Stamps you add appear in the doodle editor’s Stamps shelf as “My stamps”. With even one, that bundle opens first.
  • Text you register appears in the Text shelf as “My text”, and likewise opens first once you have one.
  • Pictures and sounds have limits on count and size; the remaining room is shown on the belongings page. Stamps and text have no limit.
  • A doodle containing your own pictures cannot be made public, so that what you brought in stays out of sight.

Make a story

Stack the pictures you like into one piece that reads straight through. Start at Make a story and tap a frame to drop a picture in.

  • Your doodles, the pictures you brought in and the site’s images can all be frames. They are read from the top down.
  • Reorder frames with “Up” and “Down”, and add more with “Add a frame”.
  • A picture you place can become the base of a doodle right there. You can also copy a panel and add it just below.
  • The cover is made from the first frame. Remove that frame later and the cover still stands.
  • If a locked frame is mixed in, the whole story follows that same lock.

My page and carrying over

  • My page gathers the doodles you drew, the stories you built, the belongings you brought in and the rewards you collected. Your display name and bio are edited here too.
  • To use the same belongings on another device, issue a hand-over URL from Use on another device. Never pass that URL to anyone else — it hands over the belongings themselves.

Sharing on X

Press “Post on X” on an image’s detail page or a folder page, and a new tab opens with a post prepared, carrying a link to that page.

Age check

This site contains adult material, so an age check appears the first time you visit. Choosing “Yes (I am 18 or older)” hides it for a year. It appears again if you clear your browser data, or open the site on another device or browser.
